Prayers to you, your Dad and family during these tough times.

Very sorry to here about your father's illness. I would be interested in the tractor. I am located in central Illinois but would be willing to travel a couple of states.

Almost all oliver 550's and Super 55's are interchangable. Not all parts but most parts are. My dad has done a lot of rebuilding of 550 parts for people and he thinks i should be able to get about any 550 to complete my project.

It's hard to say. Does it run?, everything work? Rusty? Dented? Are you asking about a 500? or a 550? I'm not familar witht he 500 if there is one.

Unless you're reading something we're not, it doesn't say what model, just that it's an Ollie. Not arguing with you, just pointing out a few things.

Sorry, i thought it said oliver 550, but it just says oliver. I've been searching high and low for a 550 to complete my project and i must have assumed. Thank you for setting me straight

I know how frantic it can get trying to find parts sometimes. Just trying to find J-bolts to hold the battery box on my 1600 is impossible. I found something that will work though at the local Ace hardware. By the way, you wouldn't know anyone looking for a loader for a 55/550 would you? A freind of mine's grandpa took the loader off his 550 and has it advertised in the classifieds on the left. It's a freeman model, selling it for $600 I think. Located in Wisconsin.

I've just purchased an Oliver Super 55 Diesel and might be interested in the loader. Don't know much about the Freemans. Do you have a photo of it? What kind of shape is it in? Does it have a hydraulic bucket or trip? Thanks much...

Looks like the ad dropped off the classifieds, I'll try to get some info for you. I think it's hydraulic dump, but I have no idea about anything else about the loader. I forget where exactly it's located, but I think it's in southern part of Wisconsin.

I'm just going by experience. If it's a Oliver 550 i'm sure it will interchange with any other 550. However if it's a Foriegn Oliver, (looks like a 550, but made by an italian i think) then the parts probably won't interchange. But those were called 1250's and 1350's, but looked identical.

Yes, Judy, sorry to hear the circumstances but you can add me to that list depending on location. I am in upstate NY and have traveled three states to pick up tractors.

I have a few already torn apart for restoration already since I attract "basket cases" (units that probably should not be rebuilt) but I can't part them out unless they are in really bad shape.
