I have an Oliver OC-3 and Oliver HG that appear to be exactly the same tractor. The manuals show exactly the same size engine and every thing else appears the same. Can anyone tell me what's the story here? Thanks for any scoop.

From what I understand an OC-3 is just a little newer HG with a few little improvements. Something about some bearings etc. I also have one of each but they look a lot differant but my HG has a day cab on it.

The most noticable difference, the OC-3 main engine frame is different than the HG.
The HG frame has a simple cutout on the top edge where the clutch and flywheel housing slides down in the frame.
The OC-3 frame has a reinforcement formed along the top edge of that cutout.
There are also final drive differences on the OC-3
Look on the outside of the gear cover to see the difference.
If you don't find ANY differences than you might have 2-HGs or 2-OC-3s
