I ran across a Super 88 diesel RC with wide front yesterday that is for sale and I am kind of interested in it. I am just trying to figure out if he wants too much for it. Do you know how many of these were produced? He wants $3000 for. It has power steering, good metal, good tires and wheels. It does have some odd looking fenders on it. From a distance, I thought it was a 1600 or something of that model until I saw the rounded grill of the 88. The fenders look like the flat tops of a 4 digit Oliver but I am not sure if that is where they came from. Any input would be appreciated.

Thanks.

Would not be any different set up than flat top fenders on a late 770. We had a customer that put a set on an 88.

These fenders were flat on top, like you would see on one of the 4 digit olivers. They were not rounded with the tire.

Sounds like 770 flat tops on the tractor...

In the book that I have there is no mention of any other fender being offered for the S88 . It should probably have the clamshell type . Full-time power steering was an option starting in 1956 . The wheel's were green until January , 1957 when they went to red again . The Row Crop designation on the tractor was dropped for this series . This is just out of one book so there may be variations .
