I have had a problem before similar to this. Was gonna work on a Minneapolis Moline. Went to the AGCO dealer and they acted like the tractors had never been made. Said they had nothing in their computer files. I was kind of in disbelief, so I asked where to get parts. They said, you Moline dealer. Well, being that I am 22, not quite sure which way to turn. Finally found a dealer about 2 1/2 hrs away that helped.

Like Jerry said, you'd better go ask. I had the same thing happen in our little town. Got about as excited as if a new ice cream store came to town. Turns out they were only going to handle White lawn and garden products.

Hi
There are many different contracts with agco.(white, gleaner, agco, heston, etc)Your best bet is to stop and ask.
Thanks,
:) Jerry

Unless there is a large population of Olivers in your area, it probably isn't likely that he will carry a lot on hand. However, he can get you almost anything. Lucky for you; 5 miles sure would be nice.

You just about have to have a parts manual when dealing with older tractors- either to use over the phone, or take with you to the dealer- they probably don't have one, and aren't interested in taking the time to figure anything out. Most of the oldtimer parts guys that new anything about our antiques have retired, and the new guys know little and care less, in many cases.

Mike,
If you live in Seatle area, and you desperately need Oliver stuff, Everson, Washington has a good Oliver dealer. Marv there knows Olivers.

Hi, This may rub a few the wrong way , but if you had a JD dealership that's closer they can sometimes get parts for other tractors . They have an extensive on-line cross-referencing ability , at least the one near me does . Anyway , it wouldn't hurt to ask . They can get parts for my sickle and my rake both of them olivers though they aren't oliver parts , I'm talking gears and bushings and such , not just gaurds and teeth . Randy

I'm not a Deere fan, but do have one, and I must say, the local Deere dealer (Barnett Implement, Chehalis, WA) is about as accomodating as anyone I have ever dealt with. If I ever round up enough $$ to buy a new riding mower, I will be on their doorstep.
