I have the chance to buy a 560, with the Perkins motor. It doesn't have a 3 point, and at some point I would like to put one on. I haven't been around Cockshutte's in years, so I am a bit rusty with them, but I need some info. The tractors hydraulic lever seams to be rusted, or froze in place. It doesn't sound like they have used them in quite a number of years. What am I going to need to do there? Also, it looks like they have installed some type of hydrostatic steering to it. The drop linkage, or whatever you call it, where the tierod ends used to go, has been diconected, and a cylinder has been used in its palce. Can't see how it all ties togather up on top. Any help here would be welcomed. Thanks. Nick

Nick,

The hydraulic control lever is probably rusted in the housing case. First remove the tin hy. cover and valve. Use penetrating oil around the lever both inside and outside the case. It should free up in several days after mutiple applications of penetrating oil, simply by trying to move the lever forwards and backwards. I have the filter, O-ring seal kit, cover gasket and many other Cockshutt parts on stock.
I have most of the three point parts available for the 560.
Some 560-570 tractors had factory installed power steering slave cylinders on the standard wide front tractors when used on heavy duty applications. The cylinder is anchored on the axle and connects to the steering linkage.

Please let me know when I can assist you further.
