I was at an auction today and noted a few prices on pieces of equipment. There were no oliver tractors. A 421 pull behind 7' sickle mower in nice original condition brought $550. A 207 hayrake (modern 2 wheel design) good condition brought $400. A #11 manure spreader in very good to excellent shape brought $800. There were 2 oliver galvanized flair boxes. The first was a 727A model with Oliver/Electric gear brought just over $300. The other one was a 5130 wide model which is 130 bushel without sides and what looks like an electric gear brought $300. I got that one. The galvanizing on both were very good with no rusting. All the edges on both were straight also. A set of weights for a 77,88,770 etc. brought $35. There was a long oliver horse tounge with mounted seat that had all original paint and stenciling that brought $25. There were varying other oliver sickle mowers of the side mounted and rear mounted type that ranged from $35 to just over $100. We just don't have too many auction in NE Iowa where there are this many oliver pieces on one auction so it was a good day to compare going prices to prices I've seen asked.
