What is the valve timing on the 99 cam. I know they are different from the 88 cam because the location for the lobe to run the fuel pump is in a ddiferent location. Anybody know how much difference there is between the 320 oil pump and the oil pump on the seven main bearing engines.

well , i have several 320s out of 1100 MF, and the oil pumps would not clear the stock oliver oil pan, I do not know about a 99 oil pump? The pumps i have are also gear pumps not vain, they will bolt into the block. nope this helps

I think the cam will fit. As far as the oil pump goes you would probably need the oil pan off of a 1650 diesel or any of the other seven main bearing Oliver engines. They are deeper. The gear pumps used the Oliver engines also have two mounting bolts-I don't know how many a 320 uses. Not sure but I think there is a difference between the pump discharge ports on the older bypass filtered engines and the later full flow ones.

Both of these cams have about .250 lift. A 1650 gas cam has .300. The pump discharge ports are in different positions.
