What color were the CCIL named tractors? Were they red or orange? A guy I know remembers when he was a kid back in SD the gambels dealer had a white hooded 30 farmcrest. He said it was a new tractor on the showroom floor not just that someone had painted it. You ever heard of anything like that?

The CCIl tractors were a dark red, toward orange. Kind of a burnt red. CCIl was a Canadian company owned by co-operative. They built some of their own implements, but also sold repainted Cockshutts during the time Cockshutt actually made tractors, then switched to Volvo until about 1973, when they brought a limited range of Duetz tractors. They were sold in Canada only, but I"m sure the secondary market has dispersed them into other areas.

My Dad bought a Cockshutt 30 that was a white demo model and then they painted it red after he bought it
