Thank you Steven for your response.Does anyone know if there are on line manuals where you can go to get an illustration of different procedure and specs without having to purchase a hard cover manual. Thanks for any info on this.

About the online manual--there is a company called Espcor that does this. I bought the Oliver Master Shop Manual on CD-ROM for around $20 on eBay. I would just go on eBay and search for "Oliver Tractor" or the like, and see what comes up. They seem to come up fairly often. Otherwise, just google Espcor and buy it directly from them. I"ve been happy with the quality, but the problem is not being able to have it with me in the garage when I"m working on it.

Invest in a printer if you don't already have one and print out the page you need. Get it as dirty as you want. No problme print another. : )

I'd pull the shift lever back out of the housing and check the alignment of the slot in the shift rails.
