Generals were painted Cletrac Orange the paint code :
PPG Ditzler (NAPA) 60583

The original Orange fades to a yellowish orange when it get old.

Ray this tractor is almost a school bus yellow. I have carefully scraped parts of this tractor down to bare metal and it was never painted orange. Any ideas. It is a 1941 General GG. Thanks Tractor Rod

There is a guy over to Mentor Ohio that was featured with one on a Dupont calander several years ago and the ones he has are also close to the school bus yellow.

Yes, I have seen them painted yellow like that, and I saw the one on the Dupont calender. I don't know..... Some things like that are up to what someone prefers or finds when scraping down. I know Cleveland was noted to paint their crawlers several different colors. Maybe someone else has more input on this

Ray we took the engine out and found some original paint on the iside frame rail. It was real close to moline praire gold. I am going to get a chip of paint and take it to the paint shop monday and have them scan it. Then I should know what color it is. Thanks in advance. Tractor Rod
