Closed Center Hydraulic Question

I understand the difference between closed and open center systems, but I am not sure how it will affect my equipment. We always had an IH 656 open center tractor for running the post pounder and wood splitter. The post pounder is basically a hydraulic motor. We tied the remote on the tractor open, and the hydraulic motor would constantly run. The handle on the pounder then moved the moter to engage the motor on the ram. If I hook the post pounder on the 1755 will I have to change the hydraulics around or will it be ok to have to tractor pumping fluid like an open center tractor? I hope I explained this clear enough.
Thanks

It should operate fine. You may have to ajust the engine speed for the correct flow rate. When you move between posts i would put the hydrolic lever in neutral.
