Has anyone ever rebuilt one. I took mine apart and someone had evidently not put it together correctly. The parts book and service manual shows O rings under the neoprene or nylon rings. I found no O rings on it when I took it apart. Bet it will be tough to get back together with one type of O ring on another. Any helpful hints.

Assuming your talking about the 2WD cylinder, the 2255's looks to be the same basic design as my 1850's. I just followed the instructions in the manual. I don't recall any problems. Took me longer to get the cylinder out that to rebuild it.

I did notice my cylinder had some scoring. I don't know if honing would have been beneficial or not. It's been working fine without honing though.

If I can do it, anybody can!!!!
