Overspeeding can cause a high speed miss and smoke. Be sure the maximum speed is adjusted to be within manufacturers specs. Late injection pump timing (from worn timing gears or whatever) can also cause a high speed miss and smoke.

When it speeds up and misses, what color is the smoke? Have you tried to loosen the high pressure fuel lines when it is missing and see which lines you need to loosen to make the condition worse?

The smoke is BLACK and lots of it....the fuel line trick is that to test the injectors..?

Yes. Have you unhooked the hose between the intake manifold and the air cleaner and seen if that makes a difference, Second thing when you do that, does your butterfly valve in the intake manifold move freely? This is not your problem, but have you check the oil level in the injection pump and put a drop of oil in the governor breather?

Like some other tractors of that size made in Europe they used a Bosch pump with a Pneumatic governor. Therefore you have a butterfly valve in the intake manifold and a diaphram between the governor and the pump itself. These two working together control the amount of fuel that the pump sends to the nozzles (Injectors) If the breather on the governor is clogged or just resticted and if the butterfly does not move freely the system will not work as designed. You can also have a nozzle tip that has seized because of the lack of lubrication that is in today's diesel fuels. This can dump too much fuel into the cylinder and will in time score the cylinder. If you have more questions send me a PM on the Hartparroliver web site.
