Hi Everyone.

I was looking in the Oliver Forum, but I didn't find anything to help me out, so here I am. These are my questions/concerns. I came across an Oliver 770 without an engine. I don't know if it has a 3 point or not, but it does have a wide front with P/S, any idea what a 770 without an engine might be worth? My dad use to have an older Oliver combine, with a 6 cylinder Continental engine, would that engine fit easily enough in a 770 frame or would it be a lot easier to just to find and install a Waukesha engine out of a different 770?? One more question, would a factory 3 point off of the Fleetline series fit the 770??

Thank you in advance everyone, for all of your helpful replies.

Mark

If you want a 3pt hitch then I would go up to the 1600,1650 series or something like that. The 3pt on a 770 really makes them hard to get on an off when I had one. Just my two cents. With out motor it can't be very valuable.

Yes, with the power traction hitch or just the old style hydra hitch, they are kinda hard to get on and off of. I just make a nice step, which can be mounted on the side of the frame directly in front of the left rear wheel. This makes easy access to the platform from the front, the same as the 1600-1650 series. If you want, you can go to a scrap yard and get a handle off a four digit series tractor and mound this on the front corner of your fender for something to grab hold of too. Just a thought!!!!
