Saw the plow today. I was told it was a 555, the decal says it is a 565 and the embossed tag says it is a 560. It does have what the seller called cushion trip reset? Anything else anyone know about this (these) plows?

That's what our 3 bottom is. The cushion trip has 2 springs on the top of the bottom, right under neath the back bone where each one bols on. make sense? We have a manual I could take copies of and send to you if you want, has all the set-up info for differen #'s of bottoms, from 3 up to ?, also covers 566 nd 568 plows.

Road trip behind me. Here it is. It will not take the sandy ground long to put shine on this one. Looked high and low for one, (any plow). I considered going south where they are just about giving them away. That would offset the fuel. I found this one by chance 20 miles from the house. Could not get there fast enough to pick it up. When you get time to copy that manual, let me know. I will either send you my address or I could pick it up over lunch someday. How far are you from Oshkosh?

I'm about 1/2 hr. North of Oshkosh, not hard to find my place at all. What's that pipe and bracket hanging off the side? That one has the spring-trip beams and looks a little better than our 565. Ours doesn't have much paint on it anymore, and the steering linkage is pretty sloppy. Someday I'll weld it back up and maybe put some bushings in there. By the looks of it, you could use some new shares. Depending on where you go, they run about $10-15 for the cheap ones, and about $20-25 for the rock-shares(recommended). I put all new parts, including moldboards, on our 565 last year and this year I put new rock-shares, shins, and landslides on the 546 that I picked up. They both use the same parts and we spent about 300 on each.
Shins and landslides last a little longer than the shares typically do though.
Most important, have FUN!!
I can probably copy the manual some time this week when I'm at work. I'll let you know

RECENTLY PURCHASED A 3 BOTTOM OLIVER 565 SEMI-MOUNTED PLOW. COULD USE A COPY OF AN OWNERS MANUAL. ALSO, ANYBODY KNOW HOW TO ADJUST THE PLOW DEPTH? ANY HELP WOULD BE APPRECIATED. THANK YOU!

I have had a basic 4 bottom 565 for about 20 years with a couple of add on bottoms. I like mine; it is a good plow with no particlular problems. You have to make sure that the hitch is set high enough on the plow so it will go into the ground. Mine was set too low at first and I had trouble getting it into the ground if the shares were at all dull. I moved the hitch up and now it would go in the ground with out any shares (I think).

My personal opinion is they are the best plows out there... I have 3 sets with cushion trips and 1 with auto resets. The only major difference is with the newer White plows the backbone is heavy enough to not flex under extreme conditions. But the 4 bottom you are looking at will not flex enough you would ever notice. The bottoms are easy to get parts for, most are the common Oliver 619 bottom.
