Oliver 77 ?Row Crop?

I inherited an Oliver 77 tractor. I believe it is a Row Crop, but need to confirm this. The serial number is 4501320. There is another number under the serial number that reads 77-0650. Can anyone tell me what year and type of tractor this is so I can begin restoring it. It still runs well, just needs some tuning and finishing work. Thanks.

Joe; I was wrong, my number book had another section for the years 1953 and 1954 that I over looked. 1953 77 all combined started at 3500001
and 1954 77 all combined started at 4501667. This would make your 77 a late 1953. Sorry for the miss information.

It is a 1954 model. In 1953 they combined the serial numbers for row crop, standard, and industrial. If the rear wheels have lug bolts it is a row crop. If the rears have one big nut on the end of the axle it is a standard or an industrial. Hope this helps.

Joe To many numbers, The 1957 Super 77 Serial Numbers started with 44167 and ended with 56916.
The 1958 super 77 serial numbers started with
56917. The 1948 77 RC serial started with 320001 and the 1952 77 RC started with 347904. The 1948
77 Standard Serial Numbers started with 269001
and the 1952 77 Standard serial started with
273376. Let us know where you found the tag, on the dash or on the right side of the transmision housing below the floor pan in front of the axel.

I got the numbers off a tag located under and to
the left of the steering column on the dash. I will check the transmission housing this weekend and let you know if there is anything there. Thanks.

Probably the best way to tell if your tractor is a standard or a row crop is the front end. What type of front end is it? Is it a narrow double wheel or a single front wheel, or is it a wide front end which is adjustable? All of them are what oliver considered a "Row Crop". The industrial series had a solid I beam type front end on them. Hope this helps with your problem.

The front end is the wide type. I don't know if it's adjustable or not. I will check it out when I get back to our farm. Being in sales, do you stock or have access to any parts I may need in my restoration? Thanks.
