I have a 66 Row Crop with the mechanical cultivator lift. I am looking to remove the lift and install a hydraulic pump. It's my understanding that this is possible. Does anyone have any idea where a guy could get a hydraulic unit? Maybe an idea on cost?
Thanks

it is not a bad job I did mine about 3 years ago. Like he says you have to shorten shaft or replace it. I bough a used replacement it was worse than mine so I cut my shaft down in the tractor. The service manual goes into detail on what has to be done and says to cut the shaft removed from the tractor.
Post a want add for a hydraulic unit on the classified adds on here. I did and found a very good one, priced right and good guy to deal with. Row crops were setup with two valves standerds with one.
Good luck
Ron

A hydraulic off of any 66 Super 66 or 660 will work. Perhaps someone that pulls one of the above will have one setting around. One off of a 77 or 88 series will not fit. You will either need to cut off the back of the imput shaft or find one that is shorter. The mechanical lift drive gear is mounted behind the bearing support and that is the area in which your pump will sit. Good luck ! Questions
