Recently purchased an C-30 and got it going. When cold it runs 45-50 lbs of oil presure. When is warms up it runs between 10-25 which I guess is normal. Will the cold oil presure damage anyhing like seals, ect.? The oil filter cap was loose and the oil shot out like a presure washer. Should I adjust the oil relief valve and take the presure down a notch or two or just leave it alone?
Thank your for your responses.

Owen,

Leave the oil pressure adjustment alone. The 45 pounds of initial oil pressure is not a problem. Be thankful that your oil pressure does not drop more when at working temperatures.
