Hey friends. I have a topic I'd like your opinion on. I've got a real nice original 770 that has straight as an arrow tin. Decent original paint with decals still visible. Just has the usual battle marks from 40ish years of age & a few years of running the picker. The rims probably have the most paint off them as well as part of the frame where you see the brown surface rust. What do you think? Paint all of it, part of it, or leave it original? Thanks,
Big Bird

If it were mine, I would leave it as it is. That is a nice one, Kent!

I think a good original tractor is still an under appreciated item who's day is yet to come. I am extremely excited about Sherry's new feature in the Oliver Heritage called "The Curator's Corner" by Todd Stockwell and hope that in future articles he will address that very question. I believe that Sherry may be taking tractor collecting to a new level with well written sophisticated articles like that. At the very Sherry has once again taken a tractor magazine to the next level. There are plenty of nice tractor that do need to be restored. I say if in doubt leave it alone and work on that needs help.

You can take ten of yours and make ten completely restored ones, but you can"t make one original tractor like yours from any number of restored ones.
