Installed new disks in brakes. They work ok for a few days. Then they start to squeal and chatter and lock. Take them apart, wipe them off, reinstall and they'l be ok for a few more days. Any solutions?

You might try giving the brakes a little more free pedal. My experience has been that the less the travel on the pedal, the quicker the brakes engage, and the more likely they are to lock up. Hope this helps.

Make sure that the springs on the actuators are okay, and that the balls between the actuator plates are clean and the grooves they ride in are clean as well. When I reassemble the brakes I always coat the balls and the splined shaft with anti-seize compound. Not too much though! I have a 1650 and an 880 and keep the brakes on both of them in good shape this way.
