I live a big city and just adore the old iron.
The Oliver 77 row crop has been at the top of my list because of its long sleek hood and side curtains, sort of an art deco look. Today, I happened onto one at a tractor retirement home (boneyard) complete and stuck... BUT, she is the tractor I have been looking for.
I can't wait until she is restored and I can enter her in the local county fair...which NO tractors have been entered in a while.
Thanks.

Maybe you will start a new trend. Whatever you do have fun. There are a lot of helpful people on this forum. A few not so helpful. Anyhow, what city are you in? Beware the homeowner's association.

Hehehe a homeowners association that wouldn't want a restored 77 in a yard has some real problems.. :) They look better than most cars! LOL!!! Seriously, hope you enjoy the project and it goes well. be sure to post pictures of it as your restoring and when your finished. If ya run into problems i am sure there are several people here who will do their best to help you (myself included)

No homeowners assoc. to worry about.. I'm in Cleveland, Ohio.
I already have a sopt in the heated garage for her restoration this winter.
This will be one spoyled tractor, as it should be for a machine that has served it's past owner (s) so well. I just want her to be what she once was.
Thanks.
Here's the pic I took at the boneyard.
