HEI distributor for Oliver Waukesha engines

Someone asked me about this and I don't know... anybody know of a supplier or a retrofit HEI distributor that will bolt into the Oliver 6 cylinder engines... 1650/1655 specifically?

Dave Levesque of Marion Il makes HEI's for Studebakers,AMC's etc.
He would probably need a core(old correct points distributor) to build one.

Ron, you answered my post about 1650 ignition problems a few weeks ago, and I did some research on a HEI unit but had no luck. I checked with Holley and Mallory. Mallory makes a standard points type distributor for Oliver/Waukesha but nothing else. If you ever find one, let me know. Jim.

I sure will. I'm going to contact a place that makes custom HEI distributors. They can't be much more than the $300 Mallory (AGCO) wants.

Have you tried the Pertronix brand? I know from
experience that they have more applications than
listed in the catalog. I can't tell you for sure
that they have one for your application though.
If you can find a "mom and pop" parts store with
a patient parts man he might go the extra mile looking it up for you.
