I Have a 330 that is on an irrigation unit, it has external oil cooler. What I was wanting to know is would or has anyone used this motor in a tractor and how was it compared to a 310.

I would sell it but I would sure like to know what kind of HP you finally got out of it.I would take $1500 for it and you can hear it run. It is in S.E.MO

I can answer part of that. The 320 is an updated 195 with out sleeves. It has a 4.250 bore and 4 inch stroke. The 330 is 3.875 bore (wet sleeve) and has a slightly longer stroke than a 310

i wounder if a 354 perkins crank will fit in the 320 or will the 330 crank work to gain stroke. i am building a 320 and want to put a cam over the top , this320 is a propain molde and i wounder if there is a diffrents in that to i havent tore it down yet, was the head bigger then the 320 gas and is the 330 head a cross flow and is is a bigger ported head just looking at options

Are you just thinking outloud or have you taken some carefull measurements on this stuff like the Perkins crank.Have you compared the cost of building a stroker crank? I think there are more 400 plus cubic inch 88 engines around than what you think. I was in another shop by request of a customer to look at some cracked heads of another brand. They were building a 4.250 bore 88 engine and he also had a 310 diesel (cross flow) set sup with spark plugs.

Are you thinking of an aluminum carrier like some automotive heads use?
