My father had a plow exactly like the picture, it was all red as I remember. Steel wheels, the land wheel had lugs that were shaped like a big football shoe cleat to give it traction to raise the plow when you tripped the lever with a rope tyed to the fender. I still have the tractor a 70 he bought in March 1938 and this plow was used with the tractor thru WW2 until about 1950 when we bought an 88 and a 3 bottom plow. I'm assuming the tractor and plow were bought about the same time as they were always a pair when I was growing up. My Dad and older brothers plowed around the clock with this set-up several times during the war as the tractor was one of the few in our neighborhood that had lights. Our plow was equipped with shares that had a curved edge on the bottom that Dad would take to the blacksmith and have sharpend periodically. The plow in the picture has Radex shares that had throw away ends along the bottom. We converted our plow to Radex bottoms to take advantage of the cheaper throw away cutting edge.
