I have a opportunity to purchase the above unit, the decal on the side states " SUPER 77 ". However; looking on this site I believe it may in fact be just a " standard 77". What is the year of the unit and what is it worth ? The tractor runs great... is very clean... paint average... has a wide front end... has excellent tin work and lights, the rear tires are poor. Thank You! ... to any/all that kindly replies

Can you double check the serial number. The dash is what has me perplexed.

SUPER 77, 6 CYL 216CID GAS, 6F-2R, 46 PTO HP, 5009 LBS, LO 1370, MID 2280, HI 2920. THE PRICING HERE IS NOMINAL YOU MAY HAVE TO TRIM DOWN OR BUMP UP DEPENDING ON CONDITIONS. IF YOU CAN LOCK ON TO A OLIVER SUPER 77 WHICH IS NOT TO FAR GONE YOU WOULD BE STARTING OFF RIGHT, FOR SURE.

1954 models start with the number 4. The second number will be a 5. There will be no dash between the numbers. It will not be a Super. A 1954 Super will also have a 7 digit serial number and the first number will be either a 7 or 8. I go by memory. Also if it is a rowcrop most likely the last 3 numbers will be either 702 or 705 which is actually the transmission/final drive code. Supers also will have the pads on the sides of the frame to bolt cultivators loaders, etc and also a flat pad at the front of the frame to attach things. Behind the starter will be 2 casting numbers. One is the Oliver number which will start 1M100 something. The otherone is the waukesha number which will start 185 and 3 more numbers. See if you can also get them,
