I have a Oliver 550 tractor with a F-20 farmhand loader mounted. Problem: the Hydraulic pump, Mounted on front of tractor is broken. Need a replacement but can't find. It is a four bolt mount pump with a 7/8th shaft. it mounts on front.
a geared rod connects the pump to the tractor motor.

This little tip is for Wes and you and anyone else. Not all loaders use the same size cylinders, therefore notall loaders use the same GPM pump. Better to see what flow and go from there.

Now you are getting in my world. Most likely your broken pump is a gear pump. The best thing to do is take the pump apart and measure the gears. There is a formula that when you take the necessary measurements you can determine the GPM output of the pump. One thing about simple gear pump you can substitue the brand you have for another comparable pump and it will work fine. Since you said it was held on with 4 bolts no doubt the pilot that the pump slides into is also 4 inches in diameter. This is what is know as an SAE B pilot You will also need a counterclockwise rotation pump. It will be a good thing to find out why your pump broke. We used to tell the people in our pump class if you did not find the cause of the failure the second pump will never last as long as the first pump. There is a little more to selecting a replacement pump but think about what I just said.
