Our 1755 diesel uses 1.5-2 gallon/hour while pulling the baler and wagon and cutting with a 12' haybine.

We have a 1951 Oliver 66 gas with a 4 cyl. eng. We take it on a lot of Tractor Drives. A few weeks back we were on one in NW Iowa and the first day we went 75 miles on 5 gal of unleaded plus with ethanol. We were traveling at 15 miles per hour. Our tractor has had some changes in gearing and will go 35 mph in 6th gear at full throttle. We were on the tractor that day for about 5 hours so we got about 15 mpg or about 1 gal per hour.

Hey Jacks, on the 30 mile roadtrip I took last Saturday, the fuel gauge indicated my 1650 diesel used between 7 and 8 gallons in 4 and 1/2 hours of running, the majority of that at engine speeds of 1500 - 2000 rpm. Thats roughly about 1.7 gallons per hour I figure! I wish my F250 got that kind of mileage...it would use at least 4 gallons an hour at that rpm!!

My Oliver 1650 gas uses 2.8 gallons per hour when moldboard plowing. All other operations use half that amount or less. Jim.
