Installing gauges

Time to replace gauges on 1850D. Received my three gauge set (FUEL,TEMP,AMP) from YT. The old gauges were pretty simple-two connecting posts. "IGN" goes through AMP gauge to ignition switch for 12v. The other post goes to the sender-either fuel or temp. The new FUEL and TEMP gauges have THREE posts labeled as follows. Upper left post is labeled "B". Upper right post is labeled "T" and the third lower middle post is labled "12v" on one side and the ground symbol on the other side. Confusing, since I've never seen a ground with a voltage indication. Here are my assumptions but I'm not hooking up til I get some advice. "B" goes to Battery probably through AMP gauge. "T" goes to sender. Logical for TEMP gauge but not for FUEL gauge. Maybe saved money on one case stamping fits all. The AMP gauge has two posts labeled "+L" and "+B". Don't have a clue what these stand for. Any help would be appreciated.

Hey Big Al, I just went through the same exercise for the temperature guage on my 1650. The supplier finally called the manufacturer to ask. You were right, B is battery (or hot lead), T goes to the sending unit. I didn't hook anything to the ground and it works fine. Can't help you out on the other guages. Good luck! Ed

On the amp gauge the B should allso be battery side and the other side switch. If it reads the wrong way reverse them.
