A Yellow stripe along the top of hood to the fuel cap was on the early fleetlines, after about 1950 (I think) the yellow stopped on the rad cap.

Don't know if it is original, but the yellow stripe on my 88 ends at the radiator cap cover. Cover is painted yellow, but the remainder of the hood going back to the steering wheel is green. Hope this is helpful.

I have seen the stripe run back on the raised area of the hood, but I don't think it was factory, mainly the ones I have seen with a stripe going down the hood have been standards.

Thanks for your help. The early Standards are what I'm looking at. Ed
