Just bought my first Oliver tractor today (880 gas). Can someone explain the operation of the power booster? Is low with the handle forward or back? Can you shift on the go like a TA in a Farmall? This one doesn't seem to change speed in either position. Thanks

Low is back. I have one in my 770, but my low sid went out. There doesnt seem to be much difference between high and low. Mine went out becasue of a fluid leek in my rear and the clutch disc's got soaked and now they slip bad. I've always been able to shift mine on the go. Never have got to shift it under a load. But i'm rebuilding it so use when pullin so i'm shure you can. Hope i was some help to you

Yes it works like the IH but it does free wheel in the low range.
