I have come across an engine that is labeled "Oliver Corporation, Chicago, Illinois".

It is a 4 banger diesel, no oil filter, has a vertical injection pump located where a distributor would normally be found, cast iron oil pan, huge bell housing, and no mounting holes in the area of the oil pan like Oliver engine normally have.

What is it?
Thanks

Is this engine for sale? If it is I am looking for one for a O-C 96. It should be a dd198 herc.

Do you have the make & model the injection pump and any casting numbers from the block? First thing I can think of is a diesel out of an OC-9 crawler which would be a Hercules built engine. Standing behind it looking ahead on which side are the manifolds, etc

Standing behind the engine the intake is on the right and the exhaust is on the left. Injectors are on the left and the pump is on the right.

If there is any REAL interest in this engine I can buy it and hang on to it for some one. Don't know what the guy is asking for it but I can find out.

Lets get back to the original question. Did you get any casting numbers and the numbers off the tag on the injection pump.
