Will a 371 detroit stationary engine ( on a skid, used to run water pumps , generators and such ) bolt up in a super 99 oliver , 990 or 995. bell housing ? govener exchang ? Any experts out there ? Any information appreciated. Thanks....

Your question is sort of general so without getting in to details all I can do is give a generalized answer. Yes, a 3-71 from a different source could be made to work in a Super 99, 990 or 995 but it won't look stock. Another problem is most 3-71s you will find have the blower mounted on the right and the Oliver tractor has the blower mounted on the left. They made 80 different governors for the in-line 71 series so chances are you won't have the right one. You need a variable speed governor. The bell house on the Super 99 is different from the 990 and 995. If you had the old the engine from the Oliver tractor to scab parts from and an RB 3-71 engine it would easy.
