My 550 is fouling the #1 plug pretty bad and the #2 somewhat. 3 & 4 are fine. I installed new points, plug wires, carb kit. The tractor does not burn oil or smoke. I was thinking of trying a new coil before moving on. Would a tired coil foul some plugs but not all? Also, is the Pertronix coil advertised on this site a direct bolt-on? Any thoughts or advice would be greatly appreciated! Jim

Pertronix will be a direct bolt on for your 550 if you specify to Pertronix what distributor Model and manufacturer you have.
