How do I shut down my 880's engine?

My 880 diesel will not shut off when I turn the key. There is no cable to pull to shut it off mechanically like on other diesels that I have used. How is the engine supposed to shut off, and if the problem is with the key, what could my problem be with the wiring or switch?

If you have a Bosch pump on the tractor,the lines to the injectors come out the top, on the lower part of the arm that the throttle shaft attaches to on the pump the arm extends beyond the shaft that goes into the pump. On that bottom side there is a hole in the flat piece. Pull back on that and the motor should shut off. On that shutoff, there was a chain attached to the shutoff cable, similar to a choke cable on a gas tractor, and the flat piece that would shut it off as you pulled on the shutoff. All you need to do is put some sort of a cable or chain from the pump to a shutoff cable and you can shut off the tractor from the seat. If you have any more questions, e-mail me.

These engines run off of compression alone, there are no glow plugs. You would need to install a shut off to the governor/throttle of the injector pump. Also, you can back out the idle speed screw so it will stall when put in the lowest reach of the throttle range. It works best to rev the engine up a few notches and quickly drop it down to the bottom and it will stall the engine out. I have one each way and either will work.
