White 2-135 2300 hrs $10000.00
Oliver 1850 cab good shape $ 6700.00
550 3 pt $ 6350.00
770 w/ 1609 loader $ 3300.00
880 (super 88?) ser. no. $ 2650.00
88 wf $ 3000.00
70 styled $ 500.00
Post hle digger from 70 $ 90.00 (I think)
Cal Kaufman auctioneer
After the guys won the bids for the tractors, they auctioned off the manuals for the tractors.
I couldn't believe it! Last auction I'll ever attend by them! Buy a tractor for $10,000.00 and have to bid for the books. That extra $15.00-$20.00 sure isn't going to make the sale. A number of guys said the same thing.

Larry

Was at the sale you talked about. It was for an elderly gentleman who had died and had been a family friend. Found out after the auction that the Oliver 550 had originally been owned by my great grandmother's brother who lived nearby. I had just bought a new JD 4210, but had I known about the Oliver, would've purchased it instead.

Picked up a IH 25V 7ft mower and a trailer sprayer.

You must be close to Lacon, as I've seen some of your posts.

Justin

That is probably on the high side but pretty normal for what I've seen. The last 550 I saw sell 1 year ago was average and original and brought $5500 and the PTO wasn't working in it. Acreage tractors are hot for sure.

How about $7500 for 550 with loader in January? And the three point didn't work, it was at an auction in western IL.

Good 550's bring big buck now days. I guess it's cheaper than buying a new compact tractor.

I bought the 1850, I wouldn't bid on the manual just for the principal of it. I paid what I thought was top dollar for this tractor and to not get the manual with it was *#$@. I under stand that the auctioner has the responsibility to get what he can for the customer, but come on.

Shame on anyone that bids on someones manual. If the rest of the auctioneers see that others are doing this succesfully they will all be doing it.

Larry, wasn't there a 60 listed on that sale as well? I may be wrong. I have misplaced the sale bill.

Yep, there was a nice little 60 with a set of cultivators. Sorry, it was hot and I ran for a cold drink and missed it.
Jack paid me to bring his 1850 home. He directed me to turn around in his hay field. It was flooded and I got stuck, so Jack had to pull me out with the 1850. I think he planned it so He could use the NEW tractor:) and it is a dandy! Larry
