Hi there. I have a friend who unfortunately is slowly dying of emphysema, and has asked me to get his Oliver 80 running and sell it for him. It is seized from sitting, but was turning over less than a year ago. Rubber is good and sheet metal is good. In running condition, what is it worth? I haven't followed these Olivers much.
Thanks.

Hi Lance. The tractor is a 1946, and I am located in Schomberg, Ontario, Canada, which is about a half hour north of Toronto between Newmarket and Orangeville if you are looking on a map. Thanks!

In UK a standard tractor, with UK provenance and well restored or in good condition might fetch 4000 GBP. So where r u?
One, a few years back, cost 7.25k, but that was exceptionally silly money. Depends a lot on whether the wheels are original Oliver for pneumatics or cut and stuck steels, overall condition and which gear ratios they have - the high top is a bonus.
However, one of the main problems with that era Oliver was the manifolds. The exhaust is difficult to repair, without being obvious, and very expensive or unavailable in the UK.
I like them. Have four - 2 standards(one on rubber, one on steel) and a wide and narrow row crops on tiptoes.
Regards, RAB
