There is an oliver 60 coming up for sale soon. I've looked at it and the serial tag seems to be gone. Where should this be? Is there anyway else to tell the year? Also, I'm trying to pin down a fair price. The side tin is all missing as are the fenders. The front grills are so so. The only paint left is on the rims which are actually in very good shape. All the tires are shot. The engine isn't froze up but will have to be all torn down as it's been a long time since it's ran. As I said the serial # is gone so I don't know the year. I am thinking in the neighborhood of 200 to 300 should buy it but I'm wanting some more opinions.

The ID tag should be on the engine Between the air cleaner and the carberator. Your in the right price range I have paid $500 what you have discribed. $300 would be a good deal. I not exactly what year it was but The early 60's had a 4 speed the later ones had a five speed. If you haven't been around one the pattern is the double H pattern that was used in other oliver models except the high gear (4th or 5th) was in the lower right of the low and high ranges.
