Hey fella's:

I'm wanting to remove the decals on the side panels of the ole 1900 but am having trouble (decals are well stuck). Are there any tricks to removing them because it seems there was some awefulk strong glue in the 1970's. I've tried sanding with 150 grit and have used paint remover but no real success. If you know any tricks, please let me know.

John

I have taken decale off truck doors with 3M General Purpose Adhesive Cleaner. It worked very
well.

I had a buddy of mine sandblast our 1755's. New paint and decals sure made the tractor look better. Thats about the only way I know how to attack the really hard ones. I have taken some off with razor blades and brake clean, but then that paint wants to come with too. Sandblast is the way to go if your looking to repaint too.

John, If you don't have access to a sand blaster, you might try oven cleaner. Also here is a link to a recipe for Lye Gravy. Don't put it on your biscuits. ";^)

Just a couple suggestions.
