I was using my 550 to do some backfilling and grading. Because of the sway of the blade hooked onto the three point, I decided to get some stabilizer bars to keep it in place. I bought two bars from TSC and when I went to attach them, I noticed that I had only one stabilizer bar bracket, located under the right axle. I contaced my AGCO dealer--discontinued; Maichbach--sorry; Tim Smith--nope; Rick's Agriparts--nope. Does anyone know where I can find one?
One of the above parts people mentioned that I could get by with only using one stabilizer bar. That worked ok for brush-hogging, but when I used only one to do my back-filling, my stabilizer bar soon took on a pronounced crescent shape.

I made a stabilizer bar bracket out of 4"x4"x1/4" Angle Iron 6 1/4" long. I used a 3/4" stabilizer bar pin for the stabilizer bar to connect to. I will give you more detail if you contact me at my email.

hi joe take a long, good look at the piece below the axle... it is angle iron, with holes drilled in it. the small stubb is available anywhere they sell aftermarket 3 point parts. maybe the same stubb they use on a ford tractor. a good machine shop or welding shop can make the identical piece for you. i won't quote a price, as i don't know that part, but they should be able to do it for you, if you don't have the tools, etc. just take the two nuts off the fender bolts, slip it off and retighted the nuts, until you are ready to reinstall both. an air gun/wrench will simplify the job. this is the way i would go, as you have tried the other routes. good luck ron
