Which engine is in the 1650, Waukeshau or Perkins?

The engines in the 1650's are all Waukesha, like most of the Oliver line. The gas engine is a 265 cube unit, and the diesel is 283 cubes. The early model 1650 diesel has a different engine then the late model 1650, and I cannot remember if the early model diesel engine is smaller or not....its too early for me to think:) But to answer your question, if its an Oliver, its a safe bet to assume its an Oliver/Waukesha engine.

My 1650 has a Waukeshau and as far as I know thats what most had if they were Diesel. Unless Shep has gotten ahold of it it might have a Cummings now ;)
