Got to thinking more about the problem you're having, had a 4-210 that lost hyds.once, the problem was the pipe that supplies oil to the filter base came out. It's inside the trans.housing right behind where the filter bolts to the trans.you have to take a cover off the top to get to it. The pipe is held in the housing by a tab welded to the pipe and bolted down, the weld broke and let the pipe come out and lose prime. You can weld the tab back on or I believe there was a update that attached the pipe a better way.Might be worth checking out.Good Luck!

While that is true about the 4-210 it's not so with the 4-175. The 4-210 used the 2-135/2-155 tranny and hydraulics which has the charge pump inside and uses a common rear end/hydraulic oil. The 4-175 used the 2-105 transmission and hydraulics which had a seperate reservoir for the hydraulics. There was no charge pump on these units. Just a cooler pump. Hydraulic oil is gravity fed thru the filter to the pump. I believe the first reply you gave was the right one.

Thanks Chris,my first reponse was adressing the older "55" sreies hyd.,but when E.W. added in valves in the filter base that lead me to to believe the 4-175 had the 2-135/4-210 hyd.. We only have one 4-175 around here and it's been along time since I've seen it. If it's the older hyd.,I'd say it's the unloader valve, newer hyd.,I'd say check the supply pipe.

Thanks for the input guys, I will take a closer look at it after the annhydrous is all on, should finish today. We are still still able to use the tractor once the hyds would kick in, it is just annoying at fist startup of the day, after that, you would never know anything was wrong. That is until the next morning.
