Howdy Ollie boys. I am an IH man through and through, but have always had a secret liking for Olivers. My dad's uncle had a 1650 for years and said it was a hell of a tractor. I wouldn't know, but he was a trustworthy guy. I have seen lots of pictures of Olivers with front wheel assist. I was just curious if anyone knew what percentage of the big tractors (1950, 2150, 2255, etc.)were MFWD. It seems like an awful lot. Also, how much did those brutes weigh? They look heavier than hell. Any numbers would be helpful. Thanks a lot.

Keep in mind those shipping weights are very light for those tractors. My 2150 MFWA HD has fluid in all 4 tires, has 10 front weights and tips the scales at just over 23,000#. Most of those 4x4 tractors had fluid and extra weights when they went to the fields. Don't cross any 8 ton bridges with any of those tractors :-)

That is true Shep. I'm sure those numbers were from the factory.
