Are the rear fenders on a massey 98 different from the 990? I realise the front tin/hood are different but what else is changed between the models?

I have a Massey 98 that I just restored and when I worked on the fenders there was green paint underneath the red. So I would say that they were Oliver originals. I bought this tractor from the orignal owner and know nothing else was done to it. What a great tractor.

Almost all of the Massey 98's came with the crowned (outside edge turns back down) top fenders. The early 950 and 990's have the same clam shell fender as the Super 99. Some of the very earliest 98's may have come with the earlier Super 99 style fender.

According to the parts book for the Massey, they all came with the heavy rear wheel castings. This may or may not have been true on the earliest units. The headlights came with the Massey eyebrow.

Thanks for the info. I have a 950 gas that has the same style of fenders as 98 but we noticed super 99 has smaller fenders. We need to repair 98 fenders but thats just start of prolems with this one.
