Hello! Finally done with classes for the week, and can catch up on some e-mail before I head off to work. I am in the Seminary down here, but still get my hands greasy a few nights each week at an International Truck dealership here in Saint Louis. Great fun for me! The reason we installed a 6BTA in John's 806 was because that is what he wanted. It is an incredible amount of power for that old of a chassis, but it works well. There is an 856 over south of Lewiston that has a 6B which we installed in 1993. Pretty nice old tractor. I was in Altura during Easter: cold and dry! I hope that the rains will green things up a bit. Have a great weekend!

Hi Merlin. I kind of figured that John wanted it that way for some sort of a reason. He really likes that tractor, but that excel cab is a bugger to remove and reinstall. I had to do TA work on it and we did the clutch while we were in there. Thats quite the engine there! My dad has a 1755 Oliver with a 5.9 in it, but that one has no turbo. Dale's repair in Pine Island did that one. We have it pictured in the Oliver tractor photos if you want to check it out. We've gotten some much needed rain here, and more is forcasted for Sunday. Corn is going in:) Good to hear from you again. Regards, j meyer
