Ok,here is my delema.I'm out of work so money is tight.Decided to fire up the old 30 and get some work done when i noticed the rear valve stem was peeing calcium.Changed the stem only to find it's coming out between the tube and rim. What can I do to fix it myself? I have turned the wheel so the stem is up and jacked & blocked up the rear to take weight off the tire.

Al,

I have a feeling if you take the fluid out of the tire and try to put air in it, the tire will leak air. Sounds to me like you have a hole in the tube and you need to get a new tube. If you are using your tractor on the farm you probably need the fluid in the tire, so really your best bet is to just call the tire guy to come out and put a tube in it for you.

Lots of people dont like running CaCl in their tractor tires because it rusts rims. I have it in almost all of my tractors, because I need the weight on the farm. You can use CaCl and get along with it fine, but you must take care of any leaks immediatly, and I always let the tire guys handle those big tires and fix the leaks.

Just my 2 cents

Good luck

You said money is tight, but you need to get this
fixed before it eats away at your rim. You really
need to get the fluid pumped out by one of those
on-the-farm type of places and after it gets fixed, you probably want to put the fluid back in.
My advice is to keep the fluid out if the tractor is for show but if you need to farm with it, put the fluid back in.

Don't sound good if money is tight. Sounds like the tube is shot and if you let it stay between the rim and rubber, pretty soon you will have more expenses finding a new rim. That can lead to a whole bunch of headaches if they're an odd size/style rim.
Best of luck
