Shortly after I pulled the 6500 on my s88 I was leaveing the track to run across the scales I went to turn and it just shoved the front end. I made it across the scales eventually. Then loosened up both the brakes. Still wasnt fixed. So I was driving it a little to see if anything happened. I heard a couple pops in the rearend and then it was fine for a minute then it locked up again. It does this continuely. What has happened? Any info would be appreciated!

I had a similar problem and discovered that one of the Bull gears had broken the welds. Rewelded both gears and no more problems.

Jon,

Sorry to hear about your misfortune. Hard to diagnose without tearing into it. If you find that things are trashed, I have a nice tranny rearend and rear case out of a Super 88. No axles or axle housings. Everything else is there. Let me know if I can help.
