I'm wondering what a 550 cockshutt w/wide front and three point is worth. This is a gas. I'm not familiar with these tractors at all. I' m going to look at one this weekend for my wifes grandpa. I believe it is in very good condition. Any guesses would be appreciated. Grandpa doesn't have a clue what they're worth and like I said, I'm not overly familiar with what they bring. Thanks for any advise you can give me..

A cockshutt 550 before 1962 and an Oliver 550 are two entirely different tractors.

At least 2 people must have wanted it dearly.

Just got back from auction that this tractor was at. It seemed to be in good mechanical shape, ran nice. Poor rubber and three point appeared to be homemade. BTW it was poorly painted oliver green. As I said before I don't know these tractors very well, but I don't think it was the right color. It went for $2750. There was also a nicely restored 530 jd, it brought (hope you're sitting down) --$10,900-- I'm partial to 2cyl jd's but to me that's nuts.

I collect Cockshutts. A gaser in descent shape is worth 1800-3200 in these parts. It is one of the strongest tractors for it's size and is very reliable. Good Luck,
