I just acquired one of these, has 3pt,2hydr, O/U, pto, great tin. poor rubber, runs good. Is this rare? how much is it worth? Appreciate the help

Oliver and Cockshutt 1550 Diesel Utilities are quite popular here in Ontario. Prices run from the equivelant of $3250-5000 US. There are two Cockshutt ones only three miles and six miles from here.

BTW, I doubt your 1550 has Over/Under Hydraul Shift; it more than likely has Hydra-Power Drive.

how does the hydra=power work?
more specifically does it have engine braking
when its engaged?
or is the tractor freewheeling?
also if the front axle (wfe) is mounted under the engine instead of up front under
the radiator does is it the utility model?

The Hydra Power Drive does not have engine braking; it freewheels when engaged. And, yes; if the front axle is underslung beneath the engine, the tractor is a Utility model. Rear wheel equipment runs from 28 to 38 inches and can be PowerJuster or regular.

It has spinout wheels (28"), everything works good...Any one looking for one...I will part with it
