Has anyone out there had any good or bad experiences in removing the brake drums? I've put quite a bit of torque on the 2.5 inch nut, but neither has broken free yet. I'm assuming that the threads are normal and not reverse. Let me know what has worked. Thank you all in advance.

Leroy, Some times they can stick because of the large O-ring used to seal nut and they seem to turn real hard to brake seal. Otherwise unless some one cross threaded or used a whole lot of silicone sealant it will come off. Irv

I've had good luck by giving the wrench a good
sharp blow with a heavy hammer. After 5 or 6 hits
the nut usually lets loose. Getting the drum off
the tapered splined bull pinion shaft can also be
a bit of work. Two pry bars opposite each other
and a few hits with a rubber of soft faced hammer
work pretty well.

Did you straighten up the lock washers that are flattened over the flats on the nut?
