Hi,
Can anyone tell me how close 66 valves are to the 60 valves. Larger in diameter is actually what I am looking for but wondering about length and lock groove location. Or does anyone know of a valve that might work? Too big in diameter is OK just need something with the right length. Thanks in advance.
Later,
D. Stewart

66 valves are longer, Are you asking for intake , exhaust or both? Do you have acess to a seat & guide machine? I put Oldsmobile valves in one. You need Chevie spring retainers to make it work. You also need to recut the seats. I put hardned inserts in the head. it makes them flow better.

Thanks for your reply. I am looking for both intake & exhaust. Yes I do have access to valve grinding, seat cutting, etc. machines. Was looking for valve(s) the same length because it is a "dog" to re-cut keeper grooves unless I could come across a really long valve maybe (would have something to chuck up, cut the grooves and then part to length)? Was also planning on replacing guides or maybe using liners? What Olds application did you use? Chevy small block retainers & keepers (I assume) would be great because I think I have a set laying around somewhere. Any additional info would be greatly appreciated.

I put guide liners in this one too since the stems were 11/32 like a Chevie. I used the regular springs. Stem height came out good. Find me on hartparroliver.org and send me an email. I will be gone on business afew days. Thanks for your interest.
